Tape Media Storage & Retrieval - How
do we get started ?

Placing your computer system backup media into store and scheduling
a daily/weekly/monthly delivery & collection to swap tapes around
for re-use, is very simple to set up.
In order to establish how we can best help you, we will ask a few
questions first ?
1. Do you execute a daily, weekly or monthly backup cycle ? Which
of these tapes do you wish to store securely offsite ?
2. How many tapes are there ? Do you house your tapes in a tape
carrier case or as individual tapes ? What types of tapes do you
have - DLT, LTO, etc..
4. How often do you require access to the tapes - every day, every
week, every month to be used in a rotating tape schedule or only
when a tape backup needs to be restored ?
We can accomodate any of the above scenarios, delivery & collecting
tapes on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis or as required by
you.
All tapes to be stored with us, will be collected by our logistics
team. Each tape and it's carrier case will be assigned a unique
barcode & barcode scanned into store, to ensure it can be located
within minutes of any retrieval request from you. You will be assigned
a user account and secure password to our online records management
system 'Webtrack', whereby you will be able to securely view details
of all media tapes held with us, and can be requested for return
to you at the click of a button.
Tapes will be delivered to you on the schedule as agreed to meet
your requirements or as you require - Our hours for media support
are 24/7, 365 days a year - Same day, next day, emergency recall.
Emergency retrieval outwith your scheduled delivery/collection
is available by telephoning 07000 358358 any time.
Along with your quarterly or monthly invoice, you
will have access to an up to date record showing details of all
tapes in store with us, and a report of all movement charges which
have ocurred over the previous quarter/month.
To ensure the security of your records, only authorised
personnel are permitted entry into the secure store area, or permitted
access to our computerised records system. Our computer system is
fully fire-walled, virus protected and backed up onto our extensive
tape backup system.
Our tape storage facility is temperature stable,
between 16-19 degrees Celcius and 40-60% humidity, and fully protected
by Redcare fire and intruder alarm systems, with 24 hour security
monitoring.
